Dr. Shawna Gann

Dr. Shawna M. Gann is a Business Psychologist, Executive Coach, and Workplace Culture Strategist based just south of Washington, DC. As CEO and Principal Consultant of True Culture Coaching & Consulting, she partners with leaders and organizations to cultivate inclusive, high-performing environments where people thrive. Her work is grounded in a deep understanding of human behavior, organizational systems, and the power of connection in the workplace. With a Ph.D. in Business Psychology and certification as a Diversity Executive (CDE), Dr. Gann coaches professionals at all levels—from emerging talent to senior executives—focusing on authentic leadership, communication, cultural transformation, and aligning people practices with organizational values.

Dr. Gann’s career began in education, where she designed and delivered learning experiences for diverse audiences across sectors. She brings over 15 years of international experience—including time spent living and working in Germany, Italy, and the Czech Republic—which informs her culturally responsive approach to coaching, facilitation, and leadership development.

She is also an experienced researcher and podcaster. Her podcast Our True Colors explores workplace culture, belonging, and identity, offering listeners practical insights and powerful stories from a range of perspectives. She also writes The Culture Clinic, a LinkedIn newsletter offering reflections and resources at the intersection of leadership, culture, and inclusion. Her forthcoming book continues this work, bringing together research and lived experience to challenge assumptions and expand the conversation on workplace inclusion.

Outside of work, Dr. Gann enjoys travel, live music, karaoke, and trivia and game nights with family and friends. She also loves relaxing at home with her three whippets—Elsy, Fable, and Nova. She brings warmth, curiosity, and clarity to every engagement and is passionate about helping others lead with care.
