As the Head of Learning & Career Enablement at The New York Times., Susan shapes and promotes a vision and strategy focused on fostering a culture of continuous development and career growth. Her role involves leading a team to create, deliver and manage a comprehensive ecosystem encompassing training programs (such as onboarding, workforce development and leadership development), career programs (including mentorship, sponsorship and coaching) and various resources designed to support employees throughout their career journey.
Susan brings to the company a proven success record for building talent development departments from the ground up, advancing existing growth cultures and revolutionizing stale or ineffective programs within several organizations across various industries.
As a coach, she begins with identifying individual talent and then utilizes a strategic method to help individuals embrace motivations and inherent strengths as they embark on their career journeys. A broad thinker with a strong growth mindset, Susan offers a unique and deep understanding of leadership behaviors, life motivations, corporate insight and cross-cultural influences. She works with independent clients as well as organizations such as Bravely and the CoachDiversity Institute.
Throughout her career, Susan has helped build learning cultures within several industries, including financial services, business consulting, advertising, financial tech, insurance and media/publishing. Susan holds an M.S. in human resources management from the New School and is certified by the International Coaching Federation (I.C.F.), Certified Life Coaching Institute and New York University.
