Toi B. James specializes in inclusive engagement and communications. She brings 20+ years of experience in DEIB, communications, corporate responsibility, and public affairs – working within both private and public sectors – which prepared her to engage others at various levels to provide exceptional experiences and results.
She has a passion for ensuring each person she encounters has a strong sense of belonging – by honoring who they are wherever they are – and brings this overwhelming enthusiasm to every area of personal and professional life. Toi works with clients to ensure they know they are empowered to identify barriers and internal biases that prevent them from reaching their goals or living the lives they desire.
Toi is also the author of Talk About It: 12 Steps to Transformational Conversations Even When We Disagree, which provides practical guidance using coaching techniques related to having transformational conversations about topics that matter. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Saint Augustine’s University and a Master of Public Administration degree from Georgia State University. Toi is also a certified project manager, professional diversity coach, and Diversity-to-Belonging facilitator, has earned grant writing and technical writing certificates – from the University of Georgia and Kennesaw State University, respectively, and is a trained crisis communicator.
